EC submits report of election results to Vice President

Kathmandu. The Election Commission has submitted the report containing details of the results of the recently concluded elections to the House of Representatives and the Provincial Assembly to Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun. Voting for the polls had taken place on November 20.
Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya handed the report to Pun at the latter’s office at Lainchaur amid a function today.
On the occasion, the Vice President stated that the polls were organised in a free, fair and impartial way despite challenges, and this helped increase the image of Nepal and the EC at the international level.
He thanked the EC for organising the elections peacefully and announcing the results timely.
Also, CEO Thapaliya apprised the Vice President of the summary of the election process and its practices and challenges.
Others present on the occasion were election commissioners Ishwori Prasad Paudyal, Ram Prasad Bhandari, Dr Janaki Kumari Tuladhar and Sagun Shumsher JB Rana and the EC’s joint secretary and spokesperson Shaligram Sharma Paudel.
