PM Oli urges Mid-West University to set goals of modern, quality education

Kathmandu. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has urged the Mid-West University to determine the goal of modern, technical and quality education.
During the 15th Senate meeting of the Mid-Western University organized at the official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar today, also the chancellor of the University, PM Oli requested the university to carry out activities that contribute maximum for overall educational development of the country.
Pointing out that the university should work to give a new awakening to Karnali province, he clarified that the government’s all attention is for positive transformation and development in the country.
Minister for Education, Science and Technology and Pro-Chancellor of the University, Bidya Bhattarai, chaired the session. The Senate meeting held discussions on the policy, programme and budget for the current fiscal year.
Similarly, Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof Dr Dhurba Kumar Gautam urged the government for the approval of 131 teacher quotas for the university.
